Annual Community Festivals

River Legacy Living Science Center hosts 3 FREE educational festivals every year, providing families a chance to enjoy family fun activities, games, crafts and demonstrations while learning about the environment.

Great Backyard Bird Count – Feb. 18, 2017 – 10 am to 2 pm
Become citizen scientists for a day as we count and celebrate birds during the global Great Backyard Bird Count hosted by Cornell Lab of Ornithology and The National Audubon Society. During this FREE festival, guests can participate in bird counts and a variety of games, crafts and activities all about celebrating birds and creating bird awareness.

Earth Day – April 8, 2017 – 10 am to 2 pm
Join River Legacy Living Science Center as we celebrate Earth Day with nature walks, story times, crafts, activities, demonstrations & more. Fun & FREE for the whole family.

 W.A.T.E.R. (Water Awareness Through Education & Recreation) Festival – September 9, 2017 – 10 am to 2 pm
Celebrate the wonderful resource of water with a variety of family-friendly activities, crafts and demonstrations at this FREE water science fair.
