DESCRIPTION:Join us on July 10 for a family-friendly nature program all about story time and snakes!\nIn partnership with the Arlington Public Library, this interactive experience invites children and families to discover the joys of reading and learning about the natural world together.\nThe program begins with an engaging story time featuring nature-themed books about snakes and outdoor adventures. Inside the Nature Center’s atrium, participants will get to view fascinating specimens like a real snake skin shed and meet some of our live animal ambassador snakes in their enclosures!\nWeather permitting (depending on the afternoon heat), Dr. Ellen Ravkind will lead families right outside the center to safely look for wild snakes. Along the way, she will teach everyone exactly what to do if you ever come across a snake on a trail, helping families build confidence and learn simple safety tips for observing North Texas wildlife.\nThis program is designed for young learners and their families who want to spark curiosity, overcome fears, and enjoy meaningful time in nature together.
