    Join us for Adventures with Woodpeckers! This series of occasional classes provides a special hands-on learning opportunity designed especially for preschoolers and an adult partner to introduce them to the naturally fun learning at River Legacy. Children ages 2 years 6 months to 5 years old with a parent/caregiver will participate in a hands-on lesson, classroom activities, story and song time, and go on a guided nature walk. Cost is $15 per child/adult pair per class with $5 for 1 additional child (max 2 children per adult). Space is limited. RSVP to 817.860.6752, ext. 102. Payment is due at time of registration.

    Conservation Saturdays are a fun and engaging way for families to learn and take part in various aspects of environmental conservation. Activities may include trail clean-ups, crafts and animal presentations, and talks. This month, join us in a small talk about birding. From December 14, 2019 to January 5, 2020, the National Audubon Society’s Christmas Bird Count draws hundreds of people to participate in local bird counts that help scientists assess how the country’s bird populations are doing. Learn how it is done, and why events such as the Christmas Bird Count is key in protecting and saving the country’s birds! The event is free but RSVP is required. Call 817-860-6752 to sign up.
