Conservation Saturdays

Conservation Saturdays are a fun and engaging way for families to learn and take part in various aspects of environmental conservation. Activities may include trail clean-ups, crafts and animal presentations, and talks. Monthly activity will be an exciting trail cleanup within the park Space is limited, so please RSVP by calling 817.860.6752. Free, fun and educational for the whole family!

Home School Science Club

Home School Science Clubs meet monthly from 2 to 4 pm on scheduled Wednesdays for hands-on interactive experiences using the collections, specimens and resources of River Legacy!  Class fee applies.Register online for the 2019-2020 Home School Schedule or call 817.860.6752, ext. 102 to learn more.

After School Club

After School Clubs meet one Tuesday a month from 4:15 to 6:15 pm to explore the plants, animals and habitats of a riparian forest in the middle of the Metroplex at River Legacy. Clubs include Nature Explorers for grades K-1st; Eco Detectives for grades 2nd-3rd; and Junior Naturalists for grades 4th-6th. Class Fee applies.

Traveling Exhibit

Join us for our NEW Traveling Exhibit, “The Nature of Things,” featuring “Bee-lieve It or Not! The Secret Lives of Honey Bees.” Investigate the Nature of Things featuring The Tooth Sleuth, H2-Whoa!, and A Salamander’s Tale. Get the beeswax on what makes a honey bee a honey bee; why pollinators are important and learn who is a pollinator through an interactive video game experience. Traveling Exhibit will be featured in River Legacy Living Science Center’s Discovery Room from Nov. 18, 2019 to Feb. 21, 2020. Admission to Discovery Room includes traveling exhibit. Exhibits are organized by the Purdue Agriculture Exhibit Design Center.
