Spring Break Family Activity – Creepy Crawlers

Get an up-close look at some of our Creepy Crawler animal friends – spiders, cockroaches and more that are found in your own backyard and across the world. Animal presentations will start at 11:30 am, 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm. Cost is $2 per person/2 & under free. Tickets will be available to purchase at 10 am the day of the event. Tickets must be purchased in-person at the Science Center. Spring Break Activity is included with purchase of Discovery Room admission.

Activities may include trail clean-ups, crafts and animal presentations, and talks. This month guests will learn about the horned lizard, the state reptile of Texas. Learn why its range is significantly decreased and is considered threatened by the state of Texas and what you can do to help.     Learn about bats and the conservation efforts taking place to help spread the word about this amazing, yet misunderstood mammal.  Create a bat craft, meet some live bats from Bat World Sanctuary, and go on a guided night hike using echolocation equipment to possibly spot bats in River Legacy Park. Suitable for all ages.

    Event is FREE for Discovery Room members; Non-members pay Discovery Room admission ($5 adults, $3 children, $4 seniors)
