Spring Break Family Activity – Tree Hikes

Join a Naturalist on a hike looking for common trees found in the forest. Magnifying glasses will be available to use during the hike to further examine the trees. Hikes will leave from the Science Center at 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, and 3:30 pm. 25 people maximum per hike. Cost is $2 per person/2 & under free. Tickets will be available to purchase at 10 am the day of the event and must be purchased in-person at the Science Center. Spring Break Activity is included with purchase of Discovery Room admission.

    Conservation Saturdays are a fun and engaging way for families to learn and take part in various aspects of environmental conservation. Join us this month for a Trash Clean-up! Meet at the Science Center for supplies, maps and direction before heading out to pick up trash from the trails around the Center and River Legacy Park. After collecting trash, participants will meet back at the Science Center to return supplies and to receive a FREE Discovery Room pass for your garbage collection efforts! Limited to ages 5 and up (16 and under must have an adult with them). Wear long sleeves, closed-toed shoes, bug spray, jacket and/or hat depending on the weather. Space is limited.
