RIVER LEGACY FALL FESTIVAL

Fall Festival is an annual fundraiser in support of environmental education at the River Legacy Nature Center and River Legacy Park. This family-friendly outdoor event features a variety of games, bounce houses, a pumpkin patch, live music,  a dunk tank, delicious festival foods and so much more! 

Tickets are required for entry.
Food vendors and select activities require coupons. 
Coupons may be purchased at multiple locations on the festival grounds.

Where can I purchase tickets?
Family Fun Packs will be on sale in August for $45 each. NOTE: Family Fun Packs are ONLY available for purchase PRIOR to the festival day. Fun Packs are NOT available for purchase at the festival. 
Family Fun Packs contain 4 admission tickets & 20 $1 coupons (a total value of $52). Deadline to purchase Fun Packs is Friday, October 6th by 4:00pm.

Individual tickets may be purchased online or at the festival for $8 for ages 3 and up. 

Can I purchase coupons online or at the Nature Center prior to the festival day?
No, coupons are only available for purchase on-site at the festival. 

Where do I pick up pre-purchased Family Fun Packs at the event?
Family Fun Packs & individual tickets will be available to pick up at the will call tent by the admissions at the start of the event.

Can I purchase tickets at the event?
Yes, individual admission tickets and coupons for activities can be purchased at the event. Individual admission tickets are $8 for ages 3 and up.

Where do I park?
Attendees park in the main River Legacy Parks parking lots. Hayrides will be available to take guests to the admission area. Parking map.

Can I pay cash for the food and games?
Food vendors, activities and games will ONLY accept coupons. Coupons can be purchased with cash, check or credit at the admissions booth and two coupon booths on the festival grounds.

What is the value of the coupons?
Coupons are valued at $1 each. Games and activities range from 1 coupon to 7 coupons. Food prices will vary depending on the vendor’s menu.

What will I need coupons for?
Coupons will be needed for all food vendors, merchandise and some activities. The activities that require coupons include, but not limited to: Pumpkin Patch, Bounce Houses,  Climbing Wall, Prize Cube, Discovery Room, Backyard Bass & “Drop”. THERE ARE OVER 20 GAMES, ACTIVITIES AND LIVE MUSIC THAT DO NOT REQUIRE COUPONS TO PARTICIPATE.

What are your refund or exchange policies?
All sales are final. The event is rain or shine. Tickets and coupons purchased will be considered a donation to River Legacy Foundation if the event is canceled due to inclement weather.

Is there a lost & found?
Found items can be taken to various tents placed throughout the venue, with the primary lost and found at the front desk inside the River Legacy Nature Center on 703 NW Green Oaks Blvd.

What COVID precautions will be in place at the festival?
River Legacy Fall Festival will implement all CDC and local public health mandates and guidelines. The safety and health of festival attendees and staff are always first priority. 

What can I bring with me to the festival?

Items allowed inside the venue include:

  • Reusable water bottles for water stations for refilling bottles
  • Strollers
  • Wagons

 

Items NOT allowed inside the venue include:

  • Weapons and contraband of any kind (regardless of permitting, e.g. Right-to-Carry permits will not be honored)
  • Illegal or illicit substances of any kind
  • Food or non-water beverages
  • Pets (except trained service animals)
  • Flyers, handbills, posters stickers (no solicitation or unauthorized vending allowed)
  • Chairs
  • Skateboards, motorized vehicles or scooters (excluding motorized wheelchairs or similar equipment for those with mobility concerns)

 

Is the venue ADA compliant?
Yes, the Nature Center grounds at the festival are ADA compliant.

When will artists be performing?
Live music will be provided from 6:00pm-8:30pm. Please see the Young Stars & Guitars schedule under the “Schedule of Events” section.

How can I reduce my carbon footprint at the event?

  • Bring a reusable water bottle to fill up at the refilling stations.
  • Place recyclable materials in recycling bins.
  • Throw non recyclable trash in trash container

What is provided by the venue?
Vendors receive one 10×10 tent, one table and two chairs.

What is the standard booth size?
Artisans, Merchants, and Non-Profits receive a 10ft x 10ft booth space.
Food vendor space varies by event.

Do I need my own permit?
All food trucks and retail vendors must obtain, at their own cost, license or permits as may be required by law.

Can I bring my own tent?
If you would like to bring your own company-branded tent, please contact the events manager for approval.

Is electricity provided?
No, electricity is not provided inside your tent.

Can I bring my own generator for electricity?
Yes, you may bring your own generator but it must be approved by the events manager.

When can I set up and takedown?
Set up time for the event is from 8am to 10am Friday, October 7th. Takedown time is from 9:30pm to 10:00pm Saturday evening. Please keep your booth display intact until the event officially closes to the public at 9pm.

Where can I find my booth space?
Booth spaces are located on the venue map and included in the email with your confirmation letter, which will be sent out within the week of the event.

Is my vehicle permitted on site?
No vehicles are permitted on site while the event is in progress at any time. All vehicles must leave the site no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of the event and cannot return until 30 minutes after the end of the event. Vendor is responsible for all off-site parking. No passes will be issued for parking. Please click here for the map.

I’m dropping off and picking up a volunteer for their shift. Where do I drop them and pick them up?
Volunteers are not allowed to be dropped off at the festival grounds. Volunteer Drop-Off and Pick-Up and parking is at Lamar Baptist Church located on Lamar Blvd. See map here. All volunteers will be transported to and from Volunteer Drop-Off/Pick Up and parking and the Volunteer Station via shuttle. Remember to sign-out at the Volunteer station before the shuttle takes you back.

Where do I check-in upon arrival?
Once the shuttle drops you off at the festival grounds, there will be a volunteer check-in tent with a “Volunteer” banner. Check-in and receive information regarding your assigned station as well as general festival information and volunteer expectations. See next question for volunteer t-shirt purchase information. 
*Please note you will need to also check-out after your volunteer shift has ended*

What do I wear?
If you are with a volunteer group (ex: a company or organization) please wear a shirt with your organization’s name on it. If you are volunteering as an individual, please wear a River Legacy Volunteer shirt. If you do not have a River Legacy Volunteer shirt, we will have them available for purchase for $8.00 (sizes Small, Medium, Large, XL, XXL and XXXL). We accept cash, check or card.

Can I bring a water bottle and/or snacks?
Yes! You are welcome to bring snacks and a refillable water bottle which you will be able to refill using our water bottle refilling stations. Please place recyclable materials in recycling bins and throw non-recyclable trash into the appropriate containers throughout the festival grounds.

Do Volunteers get a break during their shift?
There is no official break scheduled during volunteer shifts, but there will be other volunteers and staff members available to cover your position for a few minutes if you need to step away or use the restroom.

About halfway through your shift, a staff members will bring you a free lunch or dinner (depending on your shift). You may eat at your assigned location.
