Volunteers are our most precious resource…and they are CHERISHED!

Volunteers provide a valuable service toward River Legacy Foundation’s mission of education, preservation and recreation.

Weekly Opportunities
Volunteer at least once a week at River Legacy Living Science Center in shifts of 2 to 4 hours. Must be 18 years old.

Special Events
Volunteer one or more times a year, usually on weekends, in shifts of 4 to 6 hours. Must be at least 15 years old. Event volunteers are usually needed to help with set up, facilitate activities, concessions and clean up.

Educational Festivals:

  • Great Backyard Bird Count
  • Earth Day
  • W.A.T.E.R. Festival

Fund-raising Events:

  • Cardboard Boat Regatta
  • Sporting Clay Shoot
  • After Dark in the Park
  • Gift ¬†Wrapping at Barnes & Noble

Hands-on projects
Occasional stewardship opportunities to help maintain the environmental integrity of River Legacy Parks.

Summer Programs 
Weekly classes in June and July for children ages Pre-K through 8th grade.
