What You’ll Learn

Texas is home to a thriving coyote population, especially within the DFW Metroplex. Understanding how these “Song Dogs” operate is the first step toward a peaceful partnership between humans and wildlife.

In this workshop, Karin and Roberto Saucedo will share their extensive expertise on:

  • Decoding Behavior: Identifying typical vs. concerning coyote activity.
  • Safe Coexistence: Practical tips for protecting pets and property.
  • Humane Management: Why hazing and education are more effective than traditional removal methods.

Following the main presentation, River Legacy’s Scott Matula will lead an exclusive Coyote Track Study. This hands-on segment is perfect for nature enthusiasts interested in wildlife tracking and identifying signs of coyote presence in our local ecosystem.

Meet Your Experts

Karin Saucedo serves as the Texas State Coordinator for Project Coyote. Along with Roberto Saucedo, she founded Song Dog Watch, a DFW-based organization that provides communities with the expertise needed to handle local coyote issues with science-based solutions.
