As a stay-at-home mom of two, I'm always looking for fun and educational adventures for my family. After bringing my girls to the Nature Center a few times, I felt like this was the perfect place to give back to my community. I'm so grateful for what the Nature Center offers the community and my family. I've always been passionate about the environment and I'm so privileged to give some of my time to a place that also has that passion for educating the community about nature.

I wanted to extend my curious nature of learning things about science and nature through volunteering at River Legacy Nature Center. I plan on majoring in Environmental Science when I transfer to Texas Christian University, so furthering my knowledge in nature is my main concern at this point in my educational career. As a front desk ambassador I get to meet people every day from all around the metroplex, I get to see and hear different perspectives from all these young children's minds. I plan to volunteer my efforts here for a long time after I graduate at TCC, so I can continue to progress and achieve my goals as an environmentally literate person.

I enjoy volunteering at River Legacy because the staff genuinely enjoy sharing their knowledge of nature to everyone, especially children.

River Legacy is a special place for me. I enjoy volunteering because it is a way of giving back to a place that I have loved for over 30 years. My daughters learned to ride their bikes there. Whenever I walk the trails with my dog or go biking with friends, I never fail to see wildlife in their natural environment - birds, snakes, armadillos, turtles, ducks, geese, hawks, and of course, the bobcats!
