Homeschool clubs at River Legacy Nature Center enrich home studies by providing hands-on, interactive experiences in science. Clubs draw on the collections and specimens of River Legacy Nature Center for indoor investigations. Outdoors, the students will explore the plants, animals and environment of River Legacy Park.

Ages 5-11

Our homeschool clubs are divided into three distinct age groups to ensure age-appropriate instruction and challenges: 5-6, 7-8, 9-11.

Young explorers will engage in fun and simple scientific activities that spark curiosity and introduce basic concepts through play and observation. Building on foundational knowledge, our mid-level classes delve deeper into scientific principles with more detailed investigations and interactive projects. Older students will tackle more complex scientific ideas and conduct thorough explorations, fostering critical thinking and independent learning.

Each homeschool club draws on the extensive collections and specimens of River Legacy Nature Center. Students engage in hands-on, interactive activities that bring science to life, fostering a deep understanding of various scientific concepts. From examining microscopic organisms to exploring geological formations, our indoor investigations are both educational and exciting.
