The Discovery Room features two large aquariums, engaging exhibits and a 30 foot interactive screen where guests of all ages can virtually immerse themselves in woodland habitats and seasons, learn fun facts about wildlife and play a variety of games – competing to be the top lizard in a push-up challenge; jumping as high as a frog to catch dinner; or posing for a wood- pecker selfie and MORE!

The environmental stewardship area of the Discovery Room will inspire guests to take action to keep our waters clean, pick up litter and recycle.

Visiting Exhibits

Once a year, during a limited time, we host special visiting exhibits. Ticket prices change during visiting exhibits.

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Tickets can be purchased at the Nature Center’s front desk.

    Immerse yourself into an imaginative world where insects don’t just have super abilities… they are superheroes! Meet the Bug Squad this fall at River Legacy Nature Center, this visiting exhibit features talking animatronic members of the Bug Squad. Guests will learn about each of their superhero stories, super abilities, and the unique traits they use each day.

    Families are invited to explore various science topics and gain an appreciation for diversity through hands-on exhibits and play areas. Get some air on a trampoline and jump like a grasshopper, explore a multi-platform ant colony climber, and even play with color to mix and design your own wing pattern.

    Bug Squad opens November 16th at River Legacy Nature Center!
