Join River Legacy Nature Center for a special evening with river historian and author Scot McFarlane, celebrating the release of his new book, The River That Made Texas: A Forgotten History of the Trinity.

McFarlane will explore the past and present cultural contexts of life along the Trinity River and share how the river has shaped the people, communities, and history of Texas.

The evening begins with a Meet & Mingle from 6:30–7:00 PM, followed by McFarlane’s presentation and audience Q&A beginning at 7:00 PM. Guests are invited to stay afterward for a book signing in the Nature Center atrium.

Copies of The River That Made Texas will be available for purchase during the event, giving guests the opportunity to have their book personally signed by the author.
