River Legacy Receives a Matching Grant for #GivingTuesday

At River Legacy Nature Center, we believe in inspiring a love for nature through education, exploration, and hands-on experiences. From our 100+ animal ambassadors to our interactive programs that connect children to the beauty of the natural world, everything we do is rooted in fostering a sense of wonder and responsibility for the environment.

This GivingTuesday, we have an extraordinary opportunity to make an even greater impact thanks to a generous $15,000 matching grant. Every dollar you donate will be matched, doubling your support for River Legacy’s educational programs and wildlife care.

Your contribution helps provide:

• Unforgettable experiences for children, like meeting our animal ambassadors, which include turtles, snakes, and opossums, and learning about their vital role in our ecosystem.
• Hands-on education, where students of all ages discover the wonders of forests, wetlands, and local wildlife, fostering curiosity and conservation-mindedness.
• Top-notch care for our animal ambassadors, ensuring they receive the enrichment and nutrition needed to thrive.

Why does this matter? For many children, River Legacy is their first introduction to nature. As urban landscapes grow, natural experiences are becoming rarer. With your help, we can continue to provide these life-changing programs to more than 10,000 children annually, helping them discover their connection to the environment.

GivingTuesday is about coming together to support the causes that make a difference. By donating on this special day, you’re joining a global movement and helping us protect the incredible biodiversity of our region.

For River Legacy Foundation, Giving Tuesday kicks off the opportunity to DOUBLE your end of year gift! From December 3, Giving Tuesday, through December 31, your tax deductible donations will be doubled thanks to a $15,000 matching grant.

Together, we are creating a generation of nature enthusiasts and conservation advocates.
