About This Traveling Exhibit

The Art and Science of Arachnids a limited-time, interactive exhibit that features 100 live arachnids and their place in human culture, opening in December 2020!

Visitors will explore the largest arachnid display in North America as they discover human-arachnid cultural connections through interactive activities like building robots, conducting science experiments, creating your own arachnid art and more. The exhibit also displays 100 live contained arachnids – including endangered species like the Tiger tarantula, Mexican Red Knee tarantula, alien-looking tailless whip scorpions, and beautiful Sun Tiger tarantulas!

Admissions

Discovery Room is open 9 am to 5 pm, Tuesdays through Saturdays. Discovery Room Admission Tickets can be purchased in the Center’s Gift Shop. (Last admission sold at 4:30 pm)

  • Adults (13 to 59): $5

  • Children (3 to 12; free for children 2 and under)*: $3

  • Seniors (60 +): $4

    *All children must be accompanied by a paying adult
