After Dark in the Park is a family-friendly fall festival that highlights the unique environmental-education programs of River Legacy Living Science Center.

Hours are 5 to 9 pm each night. Admissions closes at 8:30 pm. No entry after 8:30 pm.

The annual festival features family fun that includes:
» storytelling under the stars
» animal encounters
» pumpkin patch
» walk on the wild side
» Bass Pro Camping Expo
» face painting
» balloon artists
» hayride shuttles from River Legacy Parks to event entrance
» a variety of games and activities geared for children ages 2 to 10.
NEW for 2013: Viridian Haunted Trail: A mildly spooky walk through the woods geared for older children ages 8 & up!
Pumpkin Carving Photo Contest for 2013:
* Carve or decorate a pumpkin (or pumpkins)
* Have someone take a picture of you holding your decorated pumpkin(s)
* Come to After Dark in the Park to see and vote for your pumpkin photo!
All photos will be enlarged and displayed during After Dark in the Park. Guests can vote on their favorites in the following categories:
* Children 12 and under
* Family (group or family project created together)
* Adults 12 and over
Participants will win a GRAND Prize in each category. Winners will be contacted, and the winning photographs posted on the River Legacy Web site and Faceboook. There is no cost to enter the contest. For more information, call 817.860.6752, ext. 107.
